Buenos Tardes! The beauty of this country is just astounding! I wake up in the morning and feel as though 'Life' is saying, "Good morning, ladies. Welcome to another sensational day! " The pleasure of being blessed is truely intense and most welcome.
We've been shopping at a little outdoor store, about 1/4 mile from our place, to buy our food for our meals and then go back to 'The Hut' to prepare it. We've been eating rice and beans, eggs, and lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. Drinking tons of water ... the occassional cerveza - beer ... cold beer. There is no hot water in the shower but it does what it was designed to do with little discomfort. The temperature of the water is whatever it happens to be - but never hot! And then there is the swimming in La Leguna de Apoyo. Our 'Hut' has beach frontage on this salty inland crater lake - must have an underground stream from the ocean ???? The water is not coooold so we are finding it quite refreshing. Last night we took 'a turn' laying out on the dock gazing at the stars and we actually, all three, saw the same shooting star!
Today we have bussed in to Granada to use the internet, take photos, and meet one of our hosts at the 'Hut' to go dancing. Carlos is a 24 year old Nicaraguan gentleman who, when asked, gave Jessi and I some salsa lessons a couple of nights ago. One of our fellow travelers is going to join us as well. We'll let you know how it goes ...
Now an attempt at downloading some photos.
Blessings,
"C"
